About Me

Dr. Zhiming Ji is an associate professor and graduate advisor in mechanical engineering. His teaching covers topics on Kinematics, System dynamics, Mechanical Design, Robotics, and Controls. Dr. Ji’s current research interests are in the broad field of mechanical design, robotics, and system integration. This includes development of rehabilitation devices for movement therapy of paralyzed limbs; modeling of biomechanical systems; assessment of environmental performance of production systems; product design and optimization. His research has been supported through grants from the National Science Foundation, National Institute of Standards and Technology, New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology, and Industries.
