The field addresses the efficient utilization of resources to produce quality, cost-competitive goods and services in a healthy and organized work environment.
Program Mission
The Master of Science in Industrial Engineering is a program for individuals who seek professional advancement in the industrial engineering field with studies in special fields such as operations research, supply chain and logistics, quality control and management, and large scale systems analysis.
Admission Requirements
An undergraduate degree in a related science field with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is usually required. Admission conditions may involve completion of an additional bridge course decided on a case-by-case basis. Submission of Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores is required for full-time students.
Bridge Program
For online students not eligible for immediate admission to the MS degree in Industrial Engineering, conditional admission, requiring completion of the bridge course EM 602 – Management Science maybe suggested. This bridge course is assigned on a case by case basis, and the bridge course will not count toward degree credit.
Degree Requirements
A minimum of 30 credits is required for degree completion. This includes 4 required core courses (12 credits) and 6 elective courses (18 credits)
