Three Mechanical Engineering faculty and two graduate students attented the IMECE2015 Conference
Three faculty from Mechanical Engineering,Shawn Chester,Joga Rao, and Siva Nadimpalli, attended and presented their research at the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition 2015 (IMECE2015) conference. And two graduate students, Rajasekhar Tripuraneni (a PhD student working for Prof. Nadimpalli) and Fangda Cui (a PhD student working with Prof. Rao and Chester) also came and presented their recent work.
Prof. Nadimpalli was a co-organizer for a symposium based on the mechanics of high energy density battery materials; this symposium featured leading scientists from all over the world who presented their research which will determine the future direction of next generation battery designs for electric vehicles, energy storage, and more.
Prof. Chester was a topic organizer which included several symposiums on soft materials. He was also promoted within the soft material technical committee of ASME.
